(SEOUL, April 6, 2025) — (G)I-DLE’s Minnie lit up the night in her hometown Bangkok, proving herself as a true all-rounder at ‘Golden Wave in Bangkok.’
Broadcast on April 5 via JTBC4, the event marked the return of ‘Golden Wave’ five months after its Tokyo show last October, this time taking place at Thunder Dome in Bangkok. Long before the show began, swarms of eager fans had already gathered near the venue. When the performance started, it played to a sold-out crowd of 10,000.
Opening the night in a soft pink dress, Minnie greeted the audience with warmth: “Hello everyone, I’m your host, Minnie. I’m so happy to be MC-ing ‘Golden Wave in Bangkok’ in my hometown.”
She further delighted fans with a pre-recorded “Wish Ball” video, in which she created special nicknames for them in Thai, showing her affection for her global fanbase.
Later, she took the stage again in a striking black velvet outfit, reminiscent of a black pearl, delivering a flawless three-song live set. She performed “Blind Eyes Red,” a pre-release track from her first solo album HER, followed by the title track “HER” and the B-side “Cherry Sky.” Despite previously expressing nerves about her solo stage in a behind-the-scenes video with fellow artist Youngjae, Minnie captivated the audience with her dreamy vocals and magnetic stage presence.
Having already impressed with her hosting skills during “KCON 2023 Thailand,” Minnie once again showcased her MC talents. She smoothly switched between Korean and Thai, sharing the stage with co-host Bae Hyun-sung with impeccable chemistry—living up to her reputation as a “hexagonal” MC with multiple talents.
